The apartment is air conditioned and situated on the ground level. It consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (mes), an open-plan lounge/dining room/kitchen. There are sea views from a large furnished patio that includes a portable braai.

The kitchen is fully equipped and the lounge has a TV and DVD. 

16 Cascades is a large corner unit and therefore allows for extra privacy. There is an under cover parking bay reserved for 16 Cascades adjacent to the apartment entrance. Access from the parking bay to the apartment is all on the same level thus making it wheelchair friendly.

Facilities within the complex are exceptional. There is a squash court, sauna, gym and a swimming pool area that has a fully fitted entertainment room that opens onto a beautifully maintained landscaped garden.

Please be advised that the washing machine in the kitchen is for staff use only. There is a fully equipped laundry with washing machines, tumble driers and a secure drying area. The complex offers one covered parking and open parking for additional cars.

Excellent security is provided, with a 24 hour security guard at the entrance and electric fencing surrounds the complex.

Services provided: 

Linen is provided but please bring your own towels. The apartment is not serviced on a daily basis but this can be provided at an additional cost.

The apartment is very easy to maintain as it is fully tiled.

The village offers a wide range of excellent restaurants. The local pub puts on live music nightly and also rustles up an excellent meal. Other service facilities include a petrol station, chemist, hardware store, 2 supermarkets, post office, a medical doctor and a bottle store.

The Beach at Umdloti is both beautiful and safe and there are life-guards on duty during the day. Rock and surf fishing is a popular pastime, so bring along your fishing rods.


Umdloti is only a 10 minute drive from King Shaka International Airport.

Also 10 minute drive from Umhlanga Rocks where you will find the famous Gateway Shopping and Entertainment centre, a 5 minute drive from the magnificent Sibaya Casino that boasts wonderful restaurants, a theatre and not to mention a state of the art casino. 

For the golfers the Zimbali, Umhlali and two Mt. Edgecombe Golf Courses are all an easy 10 minute drive away. 

Durban and its famous uShaka Marine World are only 25 minutes away.

Low Season: R800 per day

Mid Season: R950 per day (All SA school holidays and long weekends except the Easter weekend and December holidays)

High Season: R1700 per day (Easter weekend and 1st December to 15th January)

Unfortunately no pets allowed.
The apartment strictly sleeps a maximum of 6 persons.
Strictly no noise, parties etc permitted at any time in the apartment or within Cascades complex.
